About Be Judo In<\/span><\/h2>

The main objective of the BE-JUDO-IN project is to contribute to a better understanding of social inclusion in and through sport - what it actually represents and how we can define it. Our initial definition is that based on inclusion we enable spaces where all participants can contribute to each other\u2019s wellbeing. We see a sport club, in our case judo club, as an ideal environment for social inclusion in and through sport.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Three<\/span> countries<\/h2>

BE-JUDO-IN is a project which brings together for the first time three judo clubs for people with various abilities from three countries: Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia.<\/p>\n

Fuji, Sensei-IN and Klub Sankaku Ljubljana were established solely with the aim of including people with diverse abilities in their regular judo programs.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We believe that diverse abilities judokas should be altogether involved in mainstream sports judo clubs and not in isolated institutions. In these clubs, judokas with various types of dis<\/span>abilities train together. The methods of cooperation can be different and we will present all of this in our Erasmus+ BE-JUDO-IN project.<\/p> <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n

The inclusive environment created in the three clubs is based not only on equal rights but also on equal opportunities. Nowadays, such a way of thinking should be the foundation of functioning. We live inclusion, we do not implement it. We are setting new standards of inclusion that we want to significantly expand through international cooperation, but also strengthen in our countries.<\/p> <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

With this project we\u2019re responding to contemporary challenges of social inclusion in and through sport, including lack of qualified staff, lack of specific education, prejudice, unregulated system support at local level, and lack of systematic development of inclusive sports. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The project follows these specific objectives<\/span>:<\/h2>\t\t\t\t

1. To exchange best practices <\/strong>on different approaches of inclusive judo among the participating experts.<\/p>\n

2. To train judo coaches <\/strong>from participating countries in inclusive judo approaches.<\/p>\n

3. To introduce inclusive judo approaches in as many judo clubs <\/strong>in the participating countries.<\/p>\n

4. To define social inclusion in sport<\/strong>, based on participant survey.<\/p>\n

5. To promote the inclusive judo approach across the EU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The primary goal<\/span><\/h2>\t\t\t\t

\u00a0is to create guidelines for social inclusion and methodology through the consciously identification of challenges in judo training, especially for judokas with: (1) cerebral palsy, (2) intellectual disability, (3) mental health challenges and (4) diverse abilities practising in the mixed groups.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
